Job Summary
Control access to client facilities by screening visitors and directing personnel and vehicles through entrances and exits. Patrol assigned sites on foot and monitor remote entrances using closed circuit television to prevent unlawful entry. Respond to incidents including fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, and hazardous materials following established procedures. Preserve evidence at accident scenes by setting up barriers and directing others. Prepare required logs and reports for the post. This role requires current FPS experience, a Virginia Handgun and Guard License, and adherence to federal, state, and municipal licensing requirements. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, 21 years of age, and pass physical, drug, and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet all applicable federal, state, county, and municipal licensing requirement for FPS Protective Security Officers
- Must be able to speak, read, and write using coherent English language
- Must be 21 years old
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must pass a physical and drug screen
- Must pass a background check
- Must be able to obtain contract suitability
- Must already have current FPS experience and applicable qualifications
- Contractor Provided Initial Weapons Exhibit/Certificate
- Contractor Provided Basic Training Exhibit/ Certificate
- Contractor Provided Refresher Training Exhibit/Certificate (if applicable)
- FPS Orientation Exhibit/Certificate
- Virginia Handgun and Guard License
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, occasionally during shift
- Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
- Frequent moving or lifting of heavy objects
