Job Summary
Protect personnel and property professionally while conducting internal and external foot patrols, operating x-ray equipment with high accuracy, and performing traffic control duties. Screen and process visitors efficiently, identify and report rule violations including necessary detentions, and respond to alarms and emergency situations by securing entrances and exits. Maintain control of keys and lock systems, communicate via radio or company-issued phone, and provide first aid/CPR as needed while wearing required protective gear. Observe, report, and document incidents, maintain required training and weapons qualifications, and follow all company policies and safety protocols. Maintain regular, in-person attendance and complete specified FPS training modules.
Required Qualifications
- Be a United States citizen
- Been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individuals name and social security number
- A minimum of two (2) years of security (armed) or law enforcement experience
- A minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any U.S. Armed Forces Component
- Received a High School Diploma from an accredited learning institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- Received a General Equivalency Diploma from an accredited learning institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- A minimum of 60 credit hours, in a related field, from an accredited learning institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- Successful completion of a federal/state certified law enforcement education and training or police officer's standard training course that may result in a law enforcement appointment
- Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English
- Must be able to pass an English Language Assessment Test
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- This position requires in-service training, in accordance with the guidance and direction of the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service
- 36-Hour FPS Basic/Refresher
- 32-Hour FPS Initial Weapons
- 16-Hour NWDTP
- 8-Hour FPS Orientation
- First Aid CPR AED
- High School Diploma (Required)
- GED (If applicable)
- CPR/First Aid Card
- Secret Clearance
- DCJS Armed License (Current)
