Job Summary
Protect personnel and property professionally while conducting internal and external foot patrols, operating x-ray equipment with high accuracy, and performing traffic control duties. Screen and process visitors efficiently, identify rule violations, and respond to alarms and emergency situations by securing entrances and exits. Maintain control of keys and lock systems, communicate via radio, and provide first aid or CPR as needed while wearing required protective gear. Observe, report, and document incidents, follow all company policies, and maintain required training, fitness, and weapons qualifications. This role requires a minimum of two years of security or law enforcement experience, a CSO license, and adherence to FPS training standards.
Required Qualifications
- United States citizen
- Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration bearing the individual's name and social security number
- Minimum of two (2) years of security (armed) or law enforcement experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any U.S. Armed Forces Component
- High School Diploma from an accredited learning institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- General Equivalency Diploma from an accredited learning institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- Minimum of 60 credit hours, in a related field, from an accredited learning institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- Successful completion of a federal/state certified law enforcement education and training or police officer's standard training course that may result in a law enforcement appointment
- Fluent ability to speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English
- Ability to pass an English Language Assessment Test
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- In-service training in accordance with the guidance and direction of the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service
- 36-Hour FPS Basic/Refresher
- 32-Hour FPS Initial Weapons
- 8-Hour FPS Orientation
- First Aid CPR AED
- Arkansas Commissioned Security Officer (CSO) license
- State Security Officers License or Certification
- CPR/First Aid Card
- FPS 8 Hour Orientation
- Arkansas Commissioned Security Officer (CSO) License
- 36 Hour Basic Training
- 40 Hour Initial Weapons Training
- State Issued Driver's License
- Clearance or Ability to Obtain One
- FPS/DHS Orientation
- Ability to obtain clearance
