Job Summary
Verify admittance, screen visitors, and prevent unauthorized entry while monitoring entrances, exits, and facility activity including vehicle inspections, gate operations, CCTV, and remote access systems. Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to identify hazards, detect security violations, and ensure safe conditions. Respond to incidents such as medical emergencies, hazardous materials, and inclement weather; protect evidence and secure incident scenes as required. Complete logs, reports, and documentation while reporting suspicious activities, safety concerns, or incidents. Follow all safety rules, company policies, and site procedures. This part-time position requires a valid BSIS Guard Card, firearms permit, and baton permit. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with honorable military discharge, and possess reliable transportation. Fluency in English and two years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be a United States citizen OR Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses verifiable honorable discharge from, any component the United States Armed Forces
- Must possess a valid Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration bearing the individual's name and social security number
- Must have reliable transportation
- Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English
- Must maintain all required licenses, permits, and certifications
- BSIS Issued Guard Card
- BSIS Issued Firearms Permit with .40 caliber qualification
- BSIS Issued Baton Permit
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
- Must be available to travel
- Minimum of 2 years of experience is required in one of the following areas: Armed Security, Law Enforcement, Honorable Military Service in any component of the U.S. Armed Forces
- Must have one of the following education qualifications recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or Identified on a DD 214: High School Diploma, GED, Minimum of 60 related college credit hours
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 25–50 lbs as needed
