Job Summary
Prospective Payment System Coordinator responsible for clinical data collection, entry, transmission and analysis of IRF-PAI data to ensure Medicare PPS compliance. Collaborates with clinical teams to identify appropriate documentation, verifies CMG designation through chart review, and posts HIPPS codes in the SRAlab billing system. Provides training and mentoring to staff on PPS processes, including Quality Indicator training, and supports data-driven outcomes by evaluating SRAlab outcome trends and national benchmarks. Requires coordination across PPS processes and innovation teams, with responsibilities including data accuracy, auditing, and communication with quality teams. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related clinical field, Illinois license/certification, at least 3 years of inpatient rehab experience, proficiency with Cerner/eRehabData/CMS iQIES, and strong software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). The role reports to the Administrative Director and includes Saturday/Sunday/holiday rotation in a normal office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Nursing or related field
- Current Illinois license/certification
- Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (Cerner preferred), eRehabData and CMS iQIES system programs
- Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to changing work demands
