Job Summary
Prospect Manager at the Chicago Botanic Garden oversees moves management and donor-prospect pipelines, partnering with principal- and major-gift teams to optimize portfolios, design policies and workflows, and ensure data integrity. The role leads with staff training, develops dashboards and reporting to inform fundraising strategy, supervises the Prospect Researcher, and collaborates with Development Operations and senior gift teams. Remote work is available two days per week after onboarding, with an emphasis on data-informed decision-making, relationship-building across levels, and managing donor pipelines from qualification through life-cycle management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Four years of nonprofit experience and two years in prospect management or related field
- Experience with relational databases and analytics tools
- Proficiency with APRA skills in moves management, pipeline management, data analytics
- Experience supervising or leading others
- Strong project-management skills
- Proficiency with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoor events in various weather conditions
