Job Summary
Propulsion Test Technician III on B shift will test the Rutherford rocket engine, set up and operate Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems including FlexLogger and LabView, troubleshoot and repair valves and regulators, work with P&IDs, conduct hydrostatic testing and handle LN2/cryogenic components, generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and implement 5S practices to maintain a clean, organized work area. Core qualifications include 5+ years of high-pressure operations, DAQ/Instrumentation experience (FlexLogger, LabView), hands-on experience with valves/regulators/pressure transducers, and LN2/cryogenic handling under test conditions. Nice-to-have items include additional mechanical assembly experience, A&P or industry certification, and experience with in-space testing. The role requires Monday-Thursday shifts (3:15pm–1:45am) and physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs and working in tight spaces. Base Pay Range for CA is $30–$40 USD (hourly). ITAR and U.S./NZ-specific compliance guidance applies for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in high-pressure operations.
- Experience in Data Acquisition & Instrumentation systems such as FlexLogger and LabView.
- Hands-on experience with valves, regulators, pressure relief valves, pressure transducers, and check valves.
- Experience handling LN2/cryogenic components under test conditions.
