Job Summary
Propulsion Technician on the Starship program (2nd shift) responsible for laser welding, mechanical assembly, and pressure testing of propulsion components for Starship and Super Heavy. Collaborates with engineers to troubleshoot, update work instructions, and improve reliability and manufacturability. Maintains safe, clean work areas and adheres to procedures, specifications, and test instructions. Opportunities to grow skills in seal installation, assembly, laser welding, pneumatic testing, and training peers in a fast-growing aerospace environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing/assembly or testing
- A&P license (preferred)
- Experience in weld preparation (preferred)
- Lean manufacturing (5S) knowledge and experience
- Experience with pressure/temperature/flow measurement devices and mechanical/pneumatic systems
- 3+ years of aerospace component testing experience
- Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience effectively communicating with engineering and production teams
