Propulsion Technician - Raptor Chamber & Nozzle Assembly & Final Assembly - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Clean, prepare, and assemble main combustion chamber assemblies and sub-assembly pieces for Electron Beam, Laser, TIG welding, or brazing. Operate machinery including DAVI roll formers, automated TIG welders, and hydro-forming equipment while reading technical drawings and using precision calibrated tools. Stage, install, test, and de-tool thrust chamber assemblies; troubleshoot engines and cell systems by operating test cell instrumentation and interpreting calculated test data to accept or reject units. Perform blending, filing, shearing of sheet metal, and operate forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment. Maintain a professional work area by cleaning tools, valves, and regulators. This 2nd shift role (3:30 PM - 2:00 AM) requires overtime and weekend availability, extended standing, and physical maneuvering in tight spaces. Candidates must possess solid mechanical knowledge and the ability to work autonomously while keeping safety and quality at the forefront.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Able to lift a min. of 25 lbs. unassisted
- This is a 2ND shift role working from 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
- overtime and weekends as needed
- Able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours min
- Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- Experience staging, installing, removing and de-staging propulsion engines
- A&P license
- 2+ years of experience working on aircraft or rocket engines
- 5+ years of aerospace engines experience
- Knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices; mechanical and electrical systems; and/or propulsion engines
- Strong mathematical, basic computer, problem solving and decision-making skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet aggressive schedules
- Ability to operate and understand readouts on automated asset user interfaces and hydrostatic proof booth
