Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of project engineers supporting National Security Space Launch (NSSL) missions on Falcon 9/Heavy and New Glenn launch systems, ensure certification and launch operations, provide technically sound and objective assessments, and communicate progress to Aerospace, USSF, and contractor teams; drive staffing, budgeting, strategic planning, and development of innovative solutions while maintaining mission risk mitigation and strong relationships with customers and industry partners (SpaceX, Blue Origin) and government agencies; role requires systems engineering, program management, and propulsion expertise, including experience with launch verification, mission assurance, and propulsion system analysis; on-site leadership at the El Segundo, CA facility; active security clearance and US citizenship required.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in mechanical engineering or related field
- 12 or more years of progressively responsible professional engineering/scientific experience
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of customer and corporate staff
- Experience leading teams of diversely skilled engineers
- U.S. citizenship for security clearance; ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance (current or ability to obtain)
