Job Summary
Propulsion Components Manufacturing Engineer focused on owning the build, assembly and testing of propulsion and vehicle control system components; develop assembly and test instructions, fixtures and tooling to enable rate production; design and maintain automated high pressure test equipment; drive production-process improvements; collaborate with design engineers, fabrication teams, internal machine shops and external vendors to produce parts designed for manufacturability; resolve manufacturing and test discrepancies with the quality team; support component testing such as proof and leak, fluid flow and functional checkouts; travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or physics
- 1+ years of experience manufacturing, building, testing, or troubleshooting hardware via professional work experience and/or project/research-based student experience
- Demonstrated experience with Design for Manufacturability and complex assemblies
- Demonstrated results with product or process improvements
- Hands-on experience with basic fabrication tools and processes (electric/pneumatic power tools, tube bending, machining, welding, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability of taking project ownership and working well in small teams
