Job Summary
Propulsion Engineer II for Archimedes Engine Systems focused on ownership of engine subsystems, test campaigns, data analysis, and refining designs for reliability and vehicle operations. Responsibilities include design, analysis, testing, and flight readiness of propulsion hardware; developing clear requirements and delivering validated designs; executing engine test plans and post-test data reviews; collaborating across cross-functional teams for robust integration; and supporting flight operations including engine acceptance and post-flight analysis. Required skills include a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 2+ years in rocket engine development/testing/operations, with strong fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and cryogenic systems knowledge; plus familiarity with mechanical design principles and potential experience with advanced/flexible engines. ”,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in rocket engine development, testing, or operations
- Strong technical understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and cryogenic systems
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical design principles
