Job Summary
Proposal Engineer responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals for custom-made air compressor, dryer and nitrogen generation systems targeting O&G projects. Responsibilities include analyzing client technical specifications to develop tailored solutions and preliminary system designs; selecting and sizing equipment from the product portfolio to meet technical/operational requirements; coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to finalize the integrated proposal; preparing cost estimations and pricing structures; developing technical and quality documentation for the proposal package; providing technical support during clarification phases and bid evaluations; coordinating with Ingersoll Rand factories, engineering support teams, suppliers, and end customers; handing over to execution teams upon project award to ensure continuity and understanding of the proposed solution through engineering and implementation phases. Qualifications include English (C1 or higher), Italian appreciated, proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM (Salesforce), AutoCAD, strong communication/negotiation skills, autonomous yet collaborative work style, and willingness to travel internationally. Fully site-based in Gorle, Italy with occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- English level C1 or higher
- Italian highly appreciated
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Salesforce (CRM)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Availability for international travel (estimated 25%)
- Proposals engineering or related technical education
