Job Summary
As a Proposal Writer at Gainwell, you will analyze customer requests for proposal and information, review RFP requirements, and write compelling proposal responses that describe solutions, strategies, and win themes. You will collaborate with senior management, departmental experts, sales/marketing staff, and proposal leadership to implement edits and complete proposals, perform QA checks, coordinate with finance on pricing, develop attachments and sample materials, and ensure proposals meet RFP requirements while conveying Gainwell’s business value. The role requires strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills; the ability to handle multiple deadlines under pressure; excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities; and familiarity with proposal/project management. Education & experience include a BA in Communications, Journalism, or English and at least 3 years in proposal or related business writing. APMP and PMP certifications are a plus. Fully remote within the U.S. with up to 10% travel; may require evening and weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- BA or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, or English
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in proposal or related business writing in a fast-paced, highly strategic, outcomes-oriented environment
