Job Summary
Develop and deliver scalable proposal resources and tools to strengthen Purdue's externally funded proposals. Utilize data, technology, and AI to support writing, analysis, and workflow efficiency. Provide guidance and resources that enable faculty across the institution to pursue high-interest funding opportunities, enhance efficiency, and ensure consistency and impact of Office of Research services. Collaborate with faculty and staff to design and deliver clear, compelling, and well-structured content aligned with sponsor expectations; manage multiple priorities and deadlines; translate complex technical information into accessible guidance for faculty audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communication, Science Engineering or a related field
- Three or more years of professional experience in grant writing, proposal development, research development, or a closely related function
- Experience supporting proposal development in higher education, research or similarly complex organizational environment
- Strong grant writing, editing, and proposal strategy skills
- Demonstrated AI competency and digital literacy
- Ability to synthesize complex technical and non-technical information into accessible guidance for faculty
- Proficiency in applying data-informed approaches to support planning and continuous improvement
- Experience developing and managing technology-enabled resources, templates, or tools for broad user audiences
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Effective collaboration and communication with faculty and staff across disciplines
