Job Summary
Proposal Specialist responsibilities include coordinating, compiling, and tracking proposal materials to meet client deadlines; leading the preparation, production, and delivery of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other marketing documents; writing and editing project summaries, staff resumes, and pursuit content; ensuring materials align with client requirements and branding standards; proofreading and standardizing content for quality; maintaining project information databases; coaching teams for formal interviews and client presentations; facilitating pursuit strategy meetings; managing multiple concurrent pursuits; attending project milestone events; coordinating award submissions; and supporting general marketing initiatives. Requires 3-5 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ability to travel up to 15%, and authorization to work in the U.S. Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, leadership, and collaboration skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) are highly desired. The role is based in Sanford, FL with potential travel to Southeast project sites; in-person work arrangement with some overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
- 3-5 years of experience in proposal development, pursuit management, marketing, or related disciplines
- Experience leading multidisciplinary pursuit teams and coordinating proposal efforts
- Experience preparing and coaching teams for formal interviews and presentations
- Ability to travel up to 15%
- Must be authorized to work for a U.S. employer
- Fluency in English
