Proposal Specialist

Job Summary
Manage the bidding process for complex IT services, design, and manufacturing solutions from initial contact through contract signing, establishing trading terms and validating technical solutions. Create accurate budgetary ROMs within working days of opportunity identification and strategize with sales and channel partners to increase win rates. Collaborate cross-functionally with Proposal Development, Sales Offices, and channel teams to ensure successful project outcomes, while obtaining necessary approvals in compliance with corporate policies. Provide technical expertise on Medium Voltage Drives and Motor Control Centers, perform engineering analysis to qualify equipment, and support proposals with customers to instill confidence. Maintain daily business tools, forecast activities, and communicate directly with customers as needed. Work a hybrid schedule based at the Monterrey branch office.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge
- Willing to travel up to 10%
- Good knowledge of industrial products and applications
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Able to work in cross-regional team
- Demonstrated technical communication and documentation skills
- Demonstrated customer (internal and external) relationship skills
- Must be capable of multi-tasking, planning and delegating
- Requires the ability to collaborate and lead exceptionally well in a cross functional environment
- Employ commercial and technical skills and creativity to maximize RA profit and growth opportunities
- Be proficient to obtain approvals in compliance with Rockwell policies including executive level approvals
- Maintain business tools on a daily basis
- For direct engagements report important activities such as Forecasting
- Communicate directly with customers as needed for the projects
- Actively seek out and participate in continuous improvement
- Build collaborative relationships with our key stakeholders and integrators
- Be the technical expert for Medium Voltage Drives
- Be the technical expert for Medium Voltage Motor Control Centers
- Apply engineering skills to perform engineering analysis to help qualify our equipment in the application
- Network internally to understand and apply product synergies
- Follow all applicable corporate, company, governmental and regulatory policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer five or more years of experience with Electrical systems and installation
- Experience with Prefabricated Modular Buildings
- Experience with Single Line Drawings
- Experience with motors
- Experience with switchgear
- Experience with transformers
- Experience with PLCs
- Basic understanding of Packaged Power Systems
- Previous sales experience
- Knowledge of Low Voltage Motor Control Centers
