Job Summary
Lead and coordinate proposal efforts from kickoff through final submission, reviewing RFQs, RFPs, and bid documents to identify requirements and compliance items. Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and schedules while writing, editing, and organizing content including project approaches, safety narratives, and company qualifications. Work closely with executives, project managers, estimators, and operations teams to gather technical information for competitive sealed proposals and alternate delivery pursuits. Maintain proposal resources, coordinate visual elements, and ensure submissions are accurate and on time. Track outcomes and lessons learned to improve future submissions while supporting interview preparation and pursuit strategy meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in proposal coordination, marketing, or business development within the construction, engineering, utilities, or infrastructure industry
- Experience preparing proposals for public and private construction projects
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and document organization skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate input from several departments
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of proposal compliance requirements
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or similar design software
- Knowledge of construction terminology, project delivery methods, and quality processes
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with alternate delivery methods such as CMAR, Design-Build, and Progressive Design-Build preferred
- Experience with Competitive Sealed Proposals and best-value procurement processes strongly preferred
- Construction, utility, civil infrastructure, or heavy civil experience
- Public works proposal experience
- Familiarity with owner-driven procurement processes
- Experience supporting presentations, interviews, and shortlist pursuits
- Understanding of project approach narratives, safety plans, quality control, staffing plans, and past performance requirements
