Job Summary
Senior-level Proposal Specialist IV leading large, complex federal proposals within AECOM’s Federal Marketing team. Responsibilities include managing proposal strategy, writing and editing sections (cover letters, executive summaries, past performance, staffing), leading color reviews, ensuring compliance and quality, coordinating schedules and deliverables, and supporting debriefs and client feedback. Collaboration with growth teams, operations, and various disciplines to win work for DoD and civilian agencies. Requires a bachelor's degree and 6+ years of proposal experience, strong writing/editing skills, proficiency in InDesign and MS Office, and demonstrated leadership and project-management abilities. Hybrid role based in San Diego, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of experience in marketing or proposal management
- Strong knowledge of InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others
- Leadership experience and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Knowledge of proposal best practices and RFQ/P processes
- Experience with color reviews and Go/No-Go processes
- Experience leading large, complex pursuits from capture through interview stage
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to work in a federal government environment (DoD and civilian agencies)
