Proposal Specialist I

Job Summary
Establish proposal concepts, gather and format information, and create drafts for federal and municipal clients including TxDOT and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Coordinate requirements with engineers and surveyors, manage data entry, and produce final documents while ensuring quality and compliance through rigorous review. Develop designs for postcards, presentations, and tradeshow materials, maintain marketing databases, and oversee the TxDOT precertification application process. Act as a brand ambassador across divisions and assist in planning corporate events. Requires a bachelor's degree, two years of A/E/C industry experience, and proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, graphics, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of prior A/E/C industry experience with RFQs/SOQs
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and visual form
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environments, often under tight deadlines
- Excellent proofreading, formatting, and editing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with management, staff, and external contacts
- Ability to travel to conferences and interview preparations across Texas as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with federal pursuits is a plus
