Job Summary
Draft and edit proposal narratives, including executive summaries, capability statements, and case studies for commercial pursuits. Translate input from Engineering, Product, and Sales subject matter experts into clear, customer-focused writing responsive to solicitation requirements. Build and maintain proposal schedules, calendars, and checklists for each commercial pursuit while tracking submission requirements and confirming on-time, compliant delivery. Support kickoff meetings and follow up to keep contributions on schedule. This full-time, on-site role at Arc's Los Angeles headquarters supports the mission to electrify the marine industry, extending our proven platform to commercial applications like tugs, ferries, and defense.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in proposal writing, proposal coordination, or a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly about technical subject matter for a non-technical audience
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Comfortable interviewing subject matter experts to extract content that doesn't yet exist on paper
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- This is a full-time, on-site role at our Los Angeles headquarters
Desired Qualifications
- Background in the marine, maritime, or clean energy industries
- Experience in desktop publishing or design tools
- Familiarity with commercial procurement or bid process
- Comfortable pushing at a fast but sustainable pace
- Enthusiasm for boating and the water
