Job Summary
Proposal Specialist at AECOM in Burnaby, BC (hybrid). Leads and supports medium to large proposals and presentations from capture through interview, coordinating bid processes, developing content plans, and advising technical teams on section structures. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes, past performance, executive summaries, and management approaches; conducts color reviews, quality reviews, and applies lessons learned to improve proposals. Supports go/no-go and greenlight analyses, capture planning, and positioning activities; participates in debriefs and post-proposal improvements. Requires Bachelor's degree and 4+ years' experience in marketing/proposal activities, strong proposal-writing/editing skills, and proficiency with InDesign, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. May involve coordination with marketing teams, CAMs, and business lines; preferred background in journalism/english/communications or related field and familiarity with A/E industry. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activity
- Strong knowledge of proposal best practices and procedures related to Federal RFQ/P responses
- Proficiency with InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Experience leading or supporting medium to large proposals and presentations
- Ability to perform internal debriefs and gather client feedback for continuous improvement
