Job Summary
Determine proposal concepts by analyzing customer needs and requests for proposals (RFPs), then create compliance matrices addressing all requirements. Develop the proposal by assembling customer-focused content including executive summaries, objectives, deliverables, and past performance, while writing, revising, and editing drafts for clarity and concision. Participate in color reviews to refine organization and content, prepare graphics such as figures and tables, and maintain libraries of past performance and boilerplate to improve production processes. Update technical knowledge through educational opportunities and networking. This hybrid role requires on-site presence three days per week in Vienna, VA, with a salary range of $100,000 to $115,000.
Required Qualifications
- Government Contracting experience
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years with government proposal development including IDIQs, and multifaceted Request for Quotes (RFQs), and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Experience submitting Proposal submissions on various proposal submission systems (i.e. Symphony system, etc)
- Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio
- Experience writing about technical concepts, including IT infrastructure, software/application management (modernization, operations & maintenance) and cloud services, and interoperability
- Ability to interpret, understand and provide compliant responses to customer requests (e.g., market surveys, RFPs, statements of work, amendments, etc.)
- Ability to manage assignments with firm deadlines and shifting priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Requirement to be on-site at least three days per week
