Proposal Manager

Job Summary

Manage the entire lifecycle of proposal processes for complex RFPs, RFIs, and client-facing opportunities, from initial scoping to final delivery. Collaborate with attorneys, marketing, and internal departments to draft, edit, and finalize tailored content including executive summaries, firm overviews, and attorney bios. Serve as a strategic advisor on proposal positioning while tracking metrics and using research tools to gather relevant industry information. Coordinate input from multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality responses under tight deadlines. This role supports the growth of Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, by delivering exceptional client service through proactive pitch materials and highly customized proposals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in proposal writing and management
  • Experience responding to complex RFPs for legal services or similar professional services clients
  • Experience with online purchasing systems and other procurement-driven processes
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of legal industry trends, client expectations, and competitive landscape
  • Highly responsive in terms of speed and accuracy
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with a client-centric mindset and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to see both the details (including grammar and other rules), as well as the larger, strategic considerations for each request
  • Residing in the Pacific Time Zone

  • Advanced degree or legal industry certifications (e.g., APMP, JD, MBA)
