Job Summary
Manage the entire lifecycle of proposal processes, from initial scoping to final delivery for complex RFPs, RFIs, and informal client requests. Collaborate with attorneys, practice group leaders, marketing, and business development staff to draft, edit, and finalize tailored content including executive summaries, firm overviews, and attorney bios. Serve as a strategic advisor on proposal positioning while confirming compliance with format and submission requirements. Track proposal metrics and ROI, utilizing research tools like LexMachina to gather relevant information. Coordinate input from multiple internal departments to ensure timely delivery of concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in proposal writing and management
- Experience responding to complex RFPs for legal services or similar professional services clients
- Experience with online purchasing systems and other procurement-driven processes
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat
- Knowledge of legal industry trends, client expectations, and competitive landscape
- Highly responsive in terms of speed and accuracy
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with a client-centric mindset and ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to see both the details (including grammar and other rules), as well as the larger, strategic considerations for each request
- Residing in the Pacific Time Zone
