Job Summary
Lead role overseeing government proposal development at MicroHealth with a focus on creating compliant, persuasive proposals for IDIQs, RFQs, and RFPs. Responsibilities include determining proposal concepts, developing compliant content (executive summaries, objectives, deliverables, staffing, past performance, and evaluation), drafting and editing drafts, participating in color reviews, preparing graphics and tables, maintaining past performance libraries and boilerplate, and updating knowledge through education. Requires exceptional writing/editing skills, extensive government proposal experience, ability to interpret customer requirements, and familiarity with IT infrastructure, cloud services, and interoperability. Must have 10+ years of government proposal development experience and a minimum Bachelor’s degree; hybrid on-site requirement at least three days per week at the Vienna, VA headquarters. Preferred knowledge of Health IT, Shipley guidance, and federal customer landscape (DoD, VA, DHA, VHA, HHS). Salary range $90,000-$120,000.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business Administration or related field
- 10+ years with government proposal development including IDIQs, and multifaceted RFQs and RFPs
- Experience submitting proposals on systems (e.g., Symphony)
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; Visio; SharePoint is a plus)
- Experience writing about IT infrastructure, software/application management (modernization, operations & maintenance) and cloud services
- Ability to interpret and provide compliant responses to customer requests
- Ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
