Job Summary
Assess incoming RFQs, set priorities and deadlines with the Director, and keep 30+ active quotes moving monthly. Break down client RFQ packages into clear briefs for estimators and engineers, then assemble professional proposal documents and pricing rollups using modern AI tools. Apply Sky Eye branding, clean layouts, and project photos to ensure submissions stand apart, while building and maintaining the proposal content library with case studies and capability statements. Run final quality checks on pricing, margins, and specs before proposals leave the building, and act as the link between sales and the shop floor on loading and delivery timelines. Track quote performance against actual job costs to sharpen estimates. This role offers a direct growth path into estimating and proposals management within a stable, Alberta-owned manufacturer.
Required Qualifications
- CET in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Electrical
- journeyperson (Instrumentation or Electrical) with 5+ years and real lead/supervisory experience
- Industrial construction or oil & gas background
- Exposure to sales, estimating, project coordination, or project management
- Meticulous attention to detail
- An eye for presentation
- Organized and deadline-driven
- Strong writer with solid Word/Excel skills
- experience with (or genuine willingness to learn) CRM systems and AI-assisted tools
