Job Summary
Proposal & Business Development Coordinator supports Flatter’s growth engine across business development, capture, and proposal operations for DoD and DHS opportunities. Responsible for proposal coordination including kickoff meetings, requirements extraction, templates and evaluator criteria, inputs development (technical narratives, resumes, personnel information, forms such as SOCIO, reps/certs, OCI statements), assembly and formatting of proposal volumes, version control, pricing templates alignment, graphics requests, and color-team reviews. Maintains proposal library assets, tracks weekly BD metrics, and assists with AI-enabled proposal processes. Requires strong written/verbal communication, high attention to detail, project/time management, and collaboration across BD, capture, SMEs, and leadership. Familiarity with federal procurement processes, IDIQ/BPA models, and Shipley/APMP methodologies; proficient in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Zoho CRM, Adobe Suite; flexible to hybrid work arrangements; location in Fredericksburg, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, English, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in government contracting, BD, marketing, or proposal coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Zoho CRM, Adobe
- Ability to interpret RFPs and develop compliant, compelling proposal content
