Job Summary

Manage warehouse operations by performing receiving, stocking, data entry, picking, and delivery to ensure medical supplies and linen are available for direct patient care. Restock and empty ScrubAvail dispensers and chute rooms, while conducting preventive maintenance on Pyxis/ParEx machines. Maintain a clean, safe environment by organizing shelves, removing packaging, and reporting facility deficiencies or equipment issues. Drive organizational vehicles safely, assist with fleet maintenance, and perform emergency roadside services such as tire changes. Handle hazardous materials like Cidex with proper safety precautions.

Required Qualifications

  • Entry level experience performing stores (retail) and inventory work
  • Training or experience providing knowledge of inventory control systems, and transportation agencies and shipping methods (Amazon Purchasing)
  • Driver's license and driving record that meets OHSU's driving requirements
  • Hazmat certification within 3 months of hire through OHSU
  • Forklift training for Warehouse staff within 3 months of hire through OHSU
  • Knowledge of spoken and written English at the high school graduate level
  • Conflict resolution skills and the ability to demonstrate effective time management
  • Must be able to maintain compliance with organizational guidelines and policies
  • Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs. unassisted frequently, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to push and pull up to 1200 lbs. repetitively
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, rotate and stretch frequently while handling product up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to traverse flat, uneven and/or steep terrain and slopes, frequently while manually controlling large and heavy loads in motion
  • Driving of OHSU owned/leased vehicles

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of warehouse experience and two years of customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of hospital materials management distribution systems
  • Medical supply familiarity, knowledge of OHSU systems, and medical terminology
  • Understanding how to set min/max's
  • Experience using handheld counting devices
  • Forklift training
