Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive on-site property inspections and technical risk evaluations for commercial accounts, high-hazard properties, and new construction projects. Assess exposures related to fire protection, natural catastrophes, crime, and liability risks, including evaluating life safety systems and building integrity. Prepare detailed survey reports with building diagrams, digital photography, and actionable recommendations to support underwriting decisions and pricing. Develop Property Loss Expectancies and collaborate with underwriting teams to provide accurate risk insights. Communicate identified hazards to clients, offering practical solutions to reduce potential losses, and perform follow-ups on recommendation execution. Review fire protection plans and upgrades against NFPA and FM guidelines. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and technical standards while providing training and guidance to clients and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of experience in Large Property loss control, risk assessment, or Highly Protected Risk (HPR) environments or related experience
- Ability to climb a fixed ladder, unless flat roof is accessible via another method like elevator or staircase
- Resides within assigned territory
- Travel required
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if driving
