Job Summary
Property Manager sought for client properties in Minneapolis, MN. Responsibilities include marketing, reviewing applications and income qualification, conducting inspections prior to move-in, assigning work orders, moving in residents, tenant relations, completing special projects, training new assistant site managers, rent collection, entering data in Yardi, and filing unlawful detainers. Must understand Section 8, HUD, LIHTC, and related deferred loans; manage financials and budgets; supervise staff; maintain tenant files; handle communications and vendor management. Duties are distributed across resident relations, rent collection, leasing/marketing, maintenance/oversight, compliance/file management, financial management, staff supervision, and owner relations. Desired skills include strong verbal/written communication, multitasking, ability to work with diverse clientele, independence, adaptability in a high-energy environment, customer service, conflict resolution, and Yardi Voyager experience. Experience with long-term homelessness or mentally ill/aggressive clients is a plus. Minimum requirements call for 2–5+ years in property management in affordable housing, HUD/LIHTC/Section 8 experience, budgeting and financial reporting, vendor/contract management, supervisory experience, Yardi proficiency, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check. Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of property management experience in affordable housing
- In-depth experience with HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, and related affordable housing programs
- Budget preparation and financial report analysis experience
- Vendor and contract management experience
- 2-5+ years of supervisory experience with staff coaching and development
- 2-5+ years of Yardi experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check before employment
