Job Summary
Property Manager responsible for the day-to-day operation of two SAHA properties in Berkeley, CA, supervising on-site staff and mentoring assigned junior staff. Collaborates with the Resident Services Coordinator to create a supportive environment for residents, ensures the property is well-maintained within operating and financial policies, and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and investors. Supports other Managers within SAHA's portfolio and may engage in special projects based on skill level and availability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience is required
- Affordable housing and/or property management experience is strongly preferred
- Experience or knowledge of affordable housing programs (e.g. Tax Credit, HUD, Section 8) strongly preferred
- Certifications or Licenses: Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and/or Certified Tax Credit Specialist depending on property and regulatory structure or attainment within six months of hire (SAHA will provide training)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations and de-escalate conflicts
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of Yardi desirable but not required
