Job Summary
The Property Manager leads all aspects of a single asset or portfolio of commercial, industrial, and/or retail properties, coordinating marketing, operations, and financial activities per client and/or company requirements. Responsibilities include guiding daily and long-term team activities, scheduling, task assignment, staff coaching and development, recruiting, and performance reviews; overseeing vendor payments, accounting activities, and timely preparation of monthly reports and annual operating/capital budgets; managing lease administration coordination, tenant move-ins/outs, and walk-throughs; ensuring tenant care programs maximize retention; directing sourcing and procurement to optimize operations, collecting rent and AR reporting, and supervising property inspections and contractor work; coordinating emergency plans and ensuring office and tenant relations excellence; serving as Owner Representative to ensure objectives are met; and performing other duties as assigned. Required capabilities include leadership and supervision, financial acumen, vendor and tenant management, effective communication, and the ability to work in an in-office environment with travel as needed. The role emphasizes collaboration within a high-functioning team, adherence to policies and contractual obligations, and the ability to manage multiple workflows to protect asset value.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Real Estate license required where mandated by local regulation
- CPM or RPA designation or candidacy preferred
- Experience with commercial office, retail, and/or industrial properties highly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Yardi or MRI and Kardin preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex topics
- Strong financial acumen; budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis
- Ability to travel daily to assigned properties; ability to work after hours as needed
- Ability to read/write English to understand manuals and write reports
