Job Summary
Collect rents, pay bills, and prepare annual budgets to accomplish financial objectives. Establish rental rates by surveying local markets and calculating overhead costs. Create marketing plans to attract residents through advertising, referrals, and unit tours. Negotiate leases, collect security deposits, and administer lease agreements while conducting file audits. Maintain the property by investigating resident complaints, enforcing occupancy rules, inspecting units, and contracting for repairs and landscaping. Secure the premises by managing security patrols, installing devices, and responding to emergencies. Prepare reports analyzing data trends and update job knowledge through professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Experience in LIHTC property management required
- Associates degree (A.A.) from a vocational school, college or university
- Job related experience
- Must demonstrate literacy in the English language including reading
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Property Management software (i.e. One-Site, Real Page)
- Valid State Issued Drivers License
- Apartment Managers License when required by State Law
- Real Estate License when required by State Law
- Authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in property management is a plus
- CPM, CAM, CAPS, etc.
