Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of scattered-site multifamily buildings across Chicago and surrounding suburbs; serve as the primary point of contact for residents; coordinate leasing, showings, and tenant communications; screen applicants and manage lease renewals; coordinate maintenance using AppFolio; ensure compliance with Chicago housing codes and Fair Housing laws; liaise with vendors and building staff; maintain accurate records and assist with budgeting; stay informed on local rental market trends and owner needs; this field-heavy role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple properties across neighborhoods.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of residential property management experience, preferably in multifamily or scattered-site
- Strong working knowledge of Chicago landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse tenant populations
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple locations
- Proficiency with property management software (AppFolio preferred)
- Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing CHA or Section 8/HCV properties (preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
