Job Summary
Property Manager responsible for day-to-day operations of a distressed multifamily community, with a focus on leasing, collections, maintenance coordination, staff management, and financial performance. Lead leasing campaigns to maintain high occupancy; oversee on-site team including leasing, maintenance, porters, and contractors; manage budgets, rent collection, delinquency tracking, and compliance with fair housing and local regulations. Responsible for inspections, vendor coordination, performance evaluations, coaching, and creating resident-satisfaction and retention programs; leverage property-management software (Yardi Voyager, RentCafe) and marketing across platforms to drive occupancy and revenue.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in property management
- Experience stabilizing and improving underperforming properties
- Strong leadership, team-hiring and performance-management skills
- Experience using Yardi Voyager, RentCafe, or similar property management software
- Solid understanding of Fair Housing laws, leasing best practices, and local housing regulations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent professionalism, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independent decision-making
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
