Property Manager - Affordable Housing

Job Summary
Conduct weekly building and grounds inspections, manage maintenance staff, and oversee move-in and move-out processes for affordable housing properties. Maintain accurate resident records, generate maintenance logs, and prepare purchase orders while ensuring audit readiness for MOR, REAC, and Section 8 standards. Develop tenant orientation programs, resolve resident complaints, and establish community partnerships with agencies and governmental bodies. Prepare reports for regulatory agencies and ensure timely completion of certifications. Full-time position in New York City with a salary range of $55,000 - $85,000. Requires 1-2 years of property management experience and knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC, and NYC local laws. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of property management experience
- Knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC, and/or other affordable housing programs (DOB, HPD, ECB)
- Understanding of NYC local laws (11,87,84, etc)
- Must be familiar with requirements of the following agencies: HUD: Section 8, REAC, MOR; HDC; LIHTC, HFA; HCR; HPD
- Experience with SitCompli and Yardi
- Ability work independently with minimal to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
- COVID Vaccination Policy: fully vaccinated by October 1, 2021, and will be required to show proof of vaccination
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
