Property Manager - Affordable Housing

Job Summary
Conduct weekly inspections of building and grounds to ensure compliance with Tax Credit and Section 8 standards. Maintain accurate resident records including rents, deposits, and application fees while overseeing maintenance staff to complete work orders and turn overs. Manage the move-in and move-out process, show prospective residents the property, and issue appropriate notices for late payments or evictions. Prepare purchase orders, generate logs, and submit various reports required by Regulatory Agencies and government arms. Meet to resolve complaints and grievances, establish community partnerships with agencies, and develop a new tenant orientation program. Ensure the security system provides a safe environment and maintain audit readiness for MOR & REAC.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of property management experience
- Knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC, and/or other affordable housing programs (DOB, HPD, ECB)
- Understanding of NYC local laws (11,87,84, etc)
- Must be familiar with requirements of the following agencies: HUD: Section 8, REAC, MOR; HDC; LIHTC, HFA; HCR; HPD
- Experience with SitCompli and Yardi
- Ability work independently with minimal to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
- COVID Vaccination Policy: fully vaccinated by October 1, 2021, and will be required to show proof of vaccination
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
