Property Management Specialist - Full-Time

Job Summary

Conduct daily property operations, regulatory compliance inspections, and site visits to ensure safe, habitable housing meets State OMH, HUD, Section 8, LIHTC, and HPD standards. Document findings, track corrective actions, and serve as a liaison for resident inquiries, complaints, and lease-related concerns. Assist with leasing activities, including showing units, preparing lease packets, and obtaining new leases for Supportive Scattered Site Housing. Maintain accurate resident files, rent rolls, security deposit logs, and property databases while preparing documents for audits. Monitor the local rental market and reinforce housing policies and reasonable accommodation procedures. Full-time position with varying hours; valid driver's license required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver License
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years' related experience
  • Currently valid New York State Driver's License
  • Safe driving history
  • Own vehicle
  • Computer skills in Excel and Word
  • Proficiency with basic office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, printers and computers
  • Must be organized
  • Able to multitask
  • Able to work with peers and supervisors in a collegial environment
  • Be able to sit or stand as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Be able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Be able to walk, primarily on a level surface, for short periods throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • During a declared disaster, assume and adhere to assigned Job Action role(s) consistent with Disaster Preparedness Plan
  • Attend job and Agency trainings as required to maintain compliance and ensure continued professional development
