Job Summary
The Compliance Specialist role focuses on maintaining regulatory compliance for assigned affordable housing properties, requiring independent judgment and decision-making skills, along with supervisory responsibilities over Community Managers. This position also involves travel to properties in Los Angeles and San Diego County.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of direct experience with Section 42 (Tax Credit) and/or Section 8
- Experience from Mortgage, Insurance, or Financial industries with compliance and regulations
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to travel to properties in Los Angeles County
- Detail oriented
- Ability to interact with a wide range of personalities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of auto insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Yardi software knowledge
- CPO Certification- Section 8
- SHCM Designation- Section 42
- RAM Certification or similar
- FHC (Fair Housing Coordinator) Certification
