Job Summary
Conduct general repairs and replacements on furnaces, split systems, and water heaters while completing designated work orders and service requests. Perform preventive maintenance, general labor tasks, cleaning, and snow removal across the property. Escalate complex maintenance issues to management and maintain a professional demeanor with residents, vendors, and coworkers. Work on-call, overtime, weekend, holiday, and evening hours as required. This role offers on-property housing and a competitive hourly rate for maintenance technicians with hands-on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience
- Display proficiency performing day-to-day tasks, preventive maintenance, and work orders
- Team-oriented, dependable, resourceful, flexible, and results-driven
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift 45 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift 80 pounds
- Must be able to push and/or pull appliances using an appliance dolly up to 200 pounds
- Must be able to move objects from one floor to another
- Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, climb stairs, kneel, balance, reach above shoulder height, walk, and twist
- Must have normal range of vision, hearing, and speech
- Must be available for on-call, overtime, weekend, holiday, and evening work
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years maintenance experience (apartment maintenance preferred)
- HVAC experience
- HVAC certification
- Certified Pool Operator
- Apartment maintenance background
- Comfortable with day-to-day HVAC work
- Comfortable with a flexible schedule, including occasional on-call, evening, and weekend work
- Candidates with HVAC exposure who want to build toward certification
- Candidates with solid core maintenance and HVAC background
