Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance tasks including HVAC filter changes, plumbing inspections, electrical checks, carpentry repairs, painting, and flooring installation. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly while addressing tenant requests and prioritizing urgent matters. Maintain property exteriors through landscaping, snow removal, and debris clearing, and conduct regular safety inspections to ensure code compliance. Document all work orders, repairs, and maintenance schedules accurately. Work full-time 8-hour shifts with on-call rotation for emergencies, potentially involving overtime. Requires 3 years of maintenance experience and physical stamina for various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in property maintenance, construction, or a related trade
- Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance techniques
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in maintenance and repair work
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently, with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, colleagues, and contractors
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance issues outside of regular business hours
