Job Summary
Property Maintenance Technician responsible for daily upkeep of hotel property, monitoring, maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on property and equipment. On-call for emergency situations and required to live on property during employment. Also functions as the Property Attendant one or two days weekly as directed by management. Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, cleaning and maintaining interiors, completing maintenance on guest rooms (drywall, painting, carpet cleaning), responding to service requests, and ensuring safety and security as well as timely reporting to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, speak, write and understand English
- Follow instructions efficiently
- Clear communication to interact with guests and staff
- Manage multiple activities often in stressful situations
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems and equipment
- Knowledge of general safety procedures (e.g., wire sizes, fuses)
- Ability to perform general maintenance repairs
- Troubleshoot equipment and identify needs and parts
- Knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to organize work with limited supervision
- On-site living requirement as part of employment
