Property Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Monitor all interior and exterior areas for maintenance issues, performing inspections of apartments, buildings, and common areas. Execute repairs across electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, carpentry, and groundskeeping, including winter snow removal and lawn care. Troubleshoot and replace outlets, fixtures, faucets, locks, and appliances while maintaining accurate logs for trash pick-ups and billing. Communicate daily with the manager on work orders, provide status updates, and conduct unit turnovers within policy deadlines. Perform preventative maintenance on emergency systems and smoke detectors, reporting hazards immediately to the manager. Maintain a safe work environment, keep tools and work areas clean, and respond to on-call emergencies within 20 minutes during rotating shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical, plumbing, groundskeeping, and troubleshooting
- Must be able to physically inspect the properties
- Basic knowledge and ability to use a variety of equipment including circular saw, drill, jig saw, electrical tester, hand tools, power tools, and cordless tools
- Maintain valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Flexibility with working hours and availability for on-call emergencies
- Ability to prioritize and possess efficient time management skills
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with ability to handle complaints in a positive and time efficient manner
- Goal-oriented and team player
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and respect through appearance and interactions with others
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and as needed
- Must be able to travel to all trainings and meetings arranged through the Corporate office periodically throughout the year
- Must be able to travel to Oconto as needed for on-call purposes
