Job Summary
Coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and custodial teams to oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and HVAC inspections across the on-campus student community. Respond to all resident maintenance requests within 24 hours and manage site-wide pest control, including bedbug eradication. Supervise technicians and assistants through hiring, training, and performance evaluations while ensuring quality workmanship on renovations and daily site inspections. Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies, including weekends and significant weather events, and assist with budget preparation, bid reviews, and inventory management. Maintain work order systems and monitor access control and safety systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3-5 years of general maintenance experience in property management or related field
- Experience working with student housing or facilities management (preferred)
- Trade knowledge (custodial; electrical; plumbing; appliances; carpentry; basic HVAC)
- HVAC certification (preferred)
- Must have troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication
- Possess strong customer service skills
- Must be punctual, organized, and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to move and lift to 50lbs and navigate up and downstairs
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to campus within 30 minutes for after-hours emergencies
