Job Summary
Maintain facilities, vehicles, and equipment to standards; perform basic home/building upkeep and hands-on trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical) plus lawn care and landscaping. Promote a safe, welcoming environment and support members in pursuing their goals. Must be able to operate power tools and lawn equipment, drive large vans, and travel as needed. Essential duties include preventive maintenance, supervising contractors, ordering supplies, recording time/expenses, and ensuring safe living and working environments; adapt to changing duties and adhere to ethical standards and mission. Requires HS diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license; prior maintenance experience and ability to complete internal training are expected. This is an essential health care worker position with potential for emergencies requiring employees to work with members and respond to safety issues.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency/HiSet/GED
- Experience in home/building maintenance and upkeep
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive in Iowa
- Ability to operate power tools, ladders, lawn equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures for electrical/construction environments
- Excellent driving skills for large vans
- Basic data entry skills
- Must complete internal training
