Job Summary
The Property Maintenance Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of a single apartment complex. Primary duties include performing repairs across building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting), inspecting vacated and occupied units, replacing faulty components (light switches, thermostats, appliance parts), maintaining outdoor areas and pool facilities where applicable, and managing work orders with detailed documentation. The role requires responding to emergencies and on-call availability, ensuring safety and compliance with company policies, and upholding positive relations with tenants and the community. Must communicate effectively with the property management team, perform routine safety checks, and be able to shovel snow and apply de-icing materials in winter. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with relevant maintenance experience preferred. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are also required, and some light travel may be involved.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
- Relevant experience in maintenance or a similar role preferred
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and work orders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance
