Job Summary
Property Maintenance duties include performing maintenance and repair tasks on buildings, grounds, and property at assigned complexes; conducting inspections; coordinating service contractors; assisting with move-in/move-out inspections and unit reconditioning; coordinating with the Site Manager to ensure well-kept properties; using own basic tools (company vehicle provided if needed); and maintaining records. Responsibilities span routine inspections of common areas and exteriors, preventative maintenance of heating/plumbing/safety systems, coordination with licensed trades, cleaning and upkeep of vacated units, and some light electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician. Requires basic English, math skills, safety compliance, and ability to work with tenants and vendors; familiar with property management workflows and software (YARDI). Education and experience as described above are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or GED required
- At least one year of experience in property maintenance or related field required
- Two years of experience in this field preferred
- Experience in maintaining records and reports required
- Must utilize own tools
- Basic skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and plastering
- Ability to read, interpret and implement governmental regulations and procedures
- Valid driver's license
