Job Summary
Greets prospective residents, completes guest card information, conducts tours of the community, and secures lease applications from qualified persons. Prepares and qualifies applications for approval based on property rental criteria, performs move-in inspections with Maintenance Supervisor and new residents, and completes annual recertifications with all HPD PBV residents. Notifies applicants of results, establishes move-in dates, completes lease paperwork including addenda, accepts rents and deposits, and organizes all related reports and files. Answers incoming phone calls and handles each call accordingly while conducting all business in accordance with Fair Housing laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, and other applicable regulations. Fluent in Spanish with 1-2 years of leasing and marketing experience required; proficiency with Yardi software preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be fluent in Spanish
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the field of leasing
- experience with affordable housing programs (Rent Stabilized, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Project Based Section 8)
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in marketing
- Proficiency with MS office suite - Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must be able to work both independently and in a group setting
- Must be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to Affordable Housing
