Job Summary
Direct and manage facility operations for the Southeast Family YMCA branch in Huntsville, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pool environment systems; develop and oversee preventive maintenance plans; manage energy consumption; supervise maintenance staff and volunteers; oversee outside contractors and vendors; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; serve as Manager on Duty as needed; coordinate with Program Directors and other departments; respond to emergencies and coordinate safety protocols; leverage property management software to track work orders from initiation to closure; strive to maintain a clean, functional environment that supports member experience and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Three or more years’ experience in managing facilities operations and maintenance staff
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry and other maintenance-related areas
- Knowledge of project management, bidding, project proposals, and preventative maintenance programs
- Obtain a Certified Pool Operator license within the first 180 days of hire
- CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment
- Valid driver’s license with a record that meets YMCA standards
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
